About Us
The idea for Cygnus Atratus was born at a low point. In a phase of intense professional stress and the renewed failure of a passion project, I felt disoriented. Amidst this chaos, a simple gesture from my parents became the turning point: a scented candle on my desk. It became my anchor of peace and gave me hope.
The Necessity of Purity
As someone who has been passionate about fragrances since my youth, I often wondered why I couldn't identify with so much of what the market offered. Too often, generic compositions left me untouched.
But the answer was also personal. I live with asthma, neurodermatitis, and several allergies. Anyone who lives like this learns to look closely and make no compromises, neither with what surrounds them nor with what they create themselves. This standard is reflected in every decision behind Cygnus Atratus: crafted in Grasse, with natural wax, and bearing the signature of two perfumers who lend their name to it, Caroline Casagrande and Rémi Barbier.

Cygnus Atratus is the result of this radical pursuit of excellence. For me, scented candles are not just objects. This is because scents connect directly with our limbic system; they have the power not only to accompany moments but to preserve them permanently and to shape our memory more strongly than any other sense.

The Black Swan Philosophy
Our name is a homage to Nassim Taleb's concept of the "Black Swan." It represents the unpredictable, the rare event of extraordinary impact and depth.
